What is hypnosis?Hypnosis is a natural state of mind, one we all experience from time to time in which the mind remains clear, alert and focused on something. Hypnosis is not sleep; you will remain awake and aware throughout.
How does hypnosis work?
Hypnosis enables you to enter into a deep state of relaxation and comfort while remaining completely aware of your surroundings and what you are doing. While in hypnosis, the subconscious mind is more open and receptive to suggestions. The job of the hypnotherapist is to combine the power of suggestion with the power of imagination to release or transform old negative “programs,” patterns or symptoms, and reinforce motivation.
